When Things Don’t Add Up, But You Can’t Explain Why

Sometimes it’s not obvious what happened.

You just walk away from conversations feeling… off.

Not enough to explain.

Not enough to point to.

Just enough to start questioning yourself.

Over time, that feeling can grow.

You may find yourself replaying conversations.

Second-guessing your reactions.

Trying to figure out what you missed.

But nothing fully adds up.

And at some point, you might start asking:“Why can’t I explain this clearly?”

“Why do I feel so unsure all the time?”

“Why does everything feel harder to sort out than it should?”

What if you didn’t miss anything?

What if your reality was being slowly rewritten…

and that’s why nothing quite made sense?

This kind of experience doesn’t usually happen all at once.

It’s subtle.

Small shifts in conversations.

Moments where what you remember doesn’t match what you’re told.

Situations where your reactions are questioned or minimized.

And over time, you may begin to rely less on what you experienced…

and more on what you’re being told about your experience.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

And you didn’t miss something obvious.

Some things are difficult to see clearly while you’re inside of them.

If you want to explore this more deeply, I talk about this experience and what it can look life in real life in Episode 3 of The Reclaimed Life Podcast.

You can listen to it here on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
