Become a new person.
Start over.
Leave the old you behind.
But I don’t think that’s what God does.
Sin distorts us.

New podcast episodes, articles, and reflections on healing, growth, and becoming.
Fear buries us.
Shame convinces us to hide.
Trauma teaches us to survive.
People shape us into versions of ourselves that were never meant to last.

But beneath all of those layers is the person God imagined before anyone else had an opinion.
The person He knit together in your mother’s womb.
The person He called “very good.”
God isn’t trying to erase your identity–He’s restoring it.
Healing isn’t about becoming someone different.
It isn’t about creating a more polished version of yourself.
It’s the quiet work of laying down every false identity you’ve carried for years.
The performer.
The rescuer.
The invisible one.
The one who never says no.
The one who believes love must be earned.
One by one, God gently peels those layers away—not because He wants to change who you are, but because He wants to reveal who he created you to be.
The goal of healing isn’t to reinvent yourself.
It’s to stop living from identities God never gave you.
Fear didn’t name you.
Shame didn’t create you.
Trauma doesn’t define you.
God isn’t creating a new you.
He’s revealing the real you.
